Elizabeth Jane Hurley (born Elizabeth Jane Hurley) is an English model, actor and former Hugh Grant girlfriend. She gained fame in the mid 1990s. In the 1990s, when Grant was the center of attention for the media because of his global box-office success in Four Weddings and a Funeral, Hurley accompanied Grant in a plunged black Versace gown that was held in place with the gold safety pins. Her appearance gained immediate media exposure. Hurley's association in the company of Estee Lauder is her most lasting professional memory. Hurley was hired by Estee Lauder as her first model in the age of 29. In 1995 she's been a model for the company's products such as Sensuous Intuition & Pleasures. Her most famous film work was when she played Vanessa Kensington in Mike Myers the hit spy comedy International Man of Mystery (1997) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999). Hurley designs and models an eponymous line of swimwear. Perry's efforts to achieve popularity in the mainstream were unsuccessful. Before any new material could even be put out, two record labels had signed and removed Perry. Capitol Records however released Perry's EP Ur So Gay in 2007. Ur So Gay's title track was a cheerfully flippant single that garnered little or no interest. I Kissed a Girl a straightforward ode expressing sexual curiosity backed with the beat of a hardedged electropop caused her to make a bigger splash within a couple of months. The song caused controversy with some critics accusing it of promoting the same-sex relationship and others claiming that the sexually explicit situation depicted in the song was intended for men's fantasies. The combination of titillation, polished melody and an enthralling chorus made to make it a top ten song in a variety of countries. The result was The album, One of the Boys (2007) being a big success. With its bouncy sharp-tongued song, the second Hot N Cold also proving popular the album much of the songs Perry created herself ultimately registered greater than 3 million copies across the United States.
